Professional Background
Allen joined the company in 1982 as regional director in the hotel division. Prior to that, he was employed for 12 years with Holiday Inns, Inc., in several capacities, including general manager at a variety of hotels, and district food and beverage director. During his career with Allen & O'Hara, Allen has been responsible for the operational supervision of 28 hotels, including full service and limited service hotels with a variety of franchisers such as Marriott, Holiday Inns, Hilton Hotels, Ramada Hotels and Hampton Inns. In 1999, he was promoted to vice president of the hotel group.

Allen holds the Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA) designation conferred by the Educational Institute of the American Hotel and Motel Association.
