In 1952, W. Harwell Allen, Jr. and his brother Tom founded Allen Brothers Construction Company in Memphis, Tenn.
Since Holiday Inn was also founded in Memphis that same year, Allen Bros. became an early builder of Holiday Inn hotels
and later, developers and managers of Holiday Inns. In 1956, Harry O’Hara joined Allen Bros. to provide capital for
operating growth and Allen and O’Hara, Inc. was born (A&O). Since that time, A&O has worked to stay at the forefront of
the purchasing and procurement industries. A&O has built a strong network of vendors who are prepared to deliver quality
products on time and on budget. As an innovator in FF&E purchasing and procurement services, A&O has proven itself by
